For the longest time an “EX” had a bad stigma, a bad rep.
It brought up images of a woman, hurt and in pain
But now being an “EX” has brought me freedom and gain.
I am an ex-factor, and I ain’t talking about Lauryn…
I ain’t talking about pain or shame…
He [devil] is no longer strumming my pain with his fingers…
You have made me new…
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
So therefore, I am an “EX”
I am an “EX” and I would not have it any other way
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. – Revelation 12:11
What can I say?
This unfailing grace, this love which was unknown
My Father, My Jesus – you changed my drift – set me free
Caught my life when it was falling
You’ve anointed me… given me a garment of grace
Called me for your glory
Called me to be a tree, an oak full of righteousness
You’ve planted me – to announce the year when you will show your favor
You’ve set your Spirit upon me!
What can I say?
I cannot complain
This love you’ve given me
Beyond what I knew – beyond what I could comprehend
You chose to love me – the one who blasphemed you, was broken and had no hope
And that love was beyond all!
I am sorry for not taking care of you.
For not loving you and protecting you as my source of life. Dear Heart, I am sorry for allowing you to be broken, crushed and abused. I hope.you will forgive me. I hope we can start all over. I know its taken me awhile to tell you all of this and I know you were hurting. From now on I promise to treat you the way you were meant to be treated…
With much love,
If we don’t love them, who will – resounded in my head all day long.
I couldn’t stop thinking of my ”hood” and the youth in it! Many times we try to get to people by speaking our theology and doctrine… When in reality people don’t care. Yes God so loved the world that he gave his only son but how do we demonstrate that love that’s been given to us! Learn to love on people instead of running them. Remember Jesus loved those that were least ”loved”. Next time you curl your nose at the stench of your neighbor, or think in your head,”ooo what is she wearing” remember Jesus was truly lovin’ it!
