Glamorous

In the past few weeks I had become something I was not… self-conscious.

I thought today, I don’t have a

Mouawad’s 1001 Nights Diamond Purse – $3.8 million

I don’t have a Vera Wang Dress

Or Weitzman’s Platinum Guild Stilletos – $1.09 million

I don’t even have an IPhone 4S!

But I still feel glamorous!

I am actually homey, tomboyish, silly and awkward at times…

But I still feel glamorous!

You see my glamour doesn’t come from makeup, diamonds, or pearls…

It is not defined by how straight my hair is or how slim I am… or in my case I am not lol

It’s not defined by the worth of my closet or hair…

My glamour is defined by what was done on the cross for me

My glamour is defined by the power I have in Him

His word tells me that I was fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)

He tells me that He has my back! That the clothes do not define my glamour! (Mathew 6:28)

So I look at my favorite shoes – the ones i’ve had since my junior year –

And I keep walking in my glamour… the one given to me by God

Speaking Life

I live with 11 people so sometimes it can get hectic! I love them to death … but it can get hectic.

Today I learned the importance of speaking life…

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21

And I had been eating fruit alright but it was fruit like this one:

God made my mouth to edify… to speak life into others and into myself.

I decided today no more rotten fruit for me; When I have so much to be thankful for.

  1. My eyes to read
  2. My fingers to turn pages
  3. My ears to listen to the typing on my laptop
  4. My legs to walk to the shuttle 😉
  5. Most of all my family in Christ to love, laugh with, argue with,

hug, cry with and get on their nerves 😉

So when in doubt:

If you don’t have something nice to say, just don’t say it at all…

Old Blog #1 Stranded 101 10/7/11

So we are on our way to a ministry trip to North Texas and well old Brazil gives out on us…

Here are some things I learned about being stranded:

  1. Be prepared to use the restroom anywhere…
  2. Thank God for Pizza Hut delivery, and remember to tip the delivery guy
  3. Don’t throw empty water bottles away, they might come in handy later lol
  4. It’s always good to have a PK on board!
  5. Antique shops are cooooollllll!!!!

    R.I.P. Shuttle Bus

This is when I ask myself… Where is my husband? [lol] if you were here, you would know how to fix this!

P.S. the shuttle resuscitated! Praise the LORD! J
